We achieved a long-time goal of visiting the countries of northern Europe around the Baltic Sea. We took a cruise that departed from Dover, England with ports of call in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Warnemünde, Tallinn, Helsinki, and the highlight, St. Petersburg. We returned to the region in 2024 with a trip through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. We returned to the area in 2025 with a trip to Iceland and a cruise along the Norwegian coast. Many major cruise lines and travel providers offer similar excursions to alluring Scandinavian and Baltic destinations which entice travelers with their historic and cultural sights.
